Growth vs. Income

Basically, there are three types of investment needs. First, many investors need growth. Plain and simple, they need to grow their portfolios for later use, such as retirement. When that time comes, such investors then have different priorities. Thus, their portfolio focus should shift as well.

The second type of investment need is the need for income. At this time, continuing the retirement example, investors look to receive a monthly paycheck to replace their earned income. The job of BFS is to then reallocate the portfolio from growth oriented products to income producing investments. By doing so, the investor is likely to receive a predictable, perpetual income stream while seeking to keep their principal base stable.

Growth and income is the third type of investment need. This is a hybrid of two parts.  The first part of the portfolio is geared for growth while the other portion is specifically invested in the above mentioned income producing investments.

Through appropriate analysis, BFS aligns your growth and/or income needs along with your portfolio.
